Shame-Loss Ad #4 and #5

This time of the year nearly every single commercial is selling their product along with promises of a smaller waistline and subsequently, an improved life. You can sprinkle chemicals on your food, fill up with cookie meal replacements, get a makeover when you eat soup, obsess over points and even our cereal isn't safe. Is it possible that we start a year with some empowering messages? Encourage women to achieve something more than reducing the space they occupy? We want our young woman to grow up to be strong, confident and intelligent. So we need to stop telling them at every turn that they won't unless they achieve ridiculous standards of beauty and the self-hate and disordered eating that goes along with it. We have much more to gain when we lose the shame! You can view the original ad here.
